Three in a Row

Group Size: From approx. 4-6 participants
Difficulty: Medium
Materials: 9 rings, 6 colored objects (scarf, plate, etc.), with 3 of each color, rope or similar for a starting line
Game Duration: 5-20 minutes
Game Description:¶
The 9 rings are arranged to form a square (3x3 grid).
It's helpful to connect them so they don't slide apart.
Participants form 2 teams and line up in a row at the starting line.
The distance from the starting line to
Each team receives 3 objects of the same color.
When the game starts, the first child from each team runs out and places their object in one of the 9 squares. Then they run back and tag the next person, who is then allowed to run.
As soon as all 3 objects of a team are placed in the squares, the next person can move an object.
The team whose objects are the first to form a line of 3 horizontally, vertically, or diagonally wins.
This team then receives one point.
It's good to play multiple rounds, as individual games are quite short. For example, play 5 rounds and the team with the most points wins.
It is recommended to play 2-3 test rounds and emphasize that it's not just about speed, but also about tactics/strategy.
