Short Description

A team gladiators variant where a carried player juggles three balls while their partner moves them through the arena.

3-ball-piggyback-gladiators

Group Size: 4 to 30 players
Difficulty: schwer
Material: Three juggling balls per pair, marked arena
Duration: approx. 5-10 minutes

Game Description

Pairs enter the arena with one player carrying the other piggyback. The carried player keeps a three-ball pattern going while pairs try to knock out the other teams safely.

Setup

  • Form pairs with clear consent for carrying.
  • Mark a small arena and keep spectators away from the edges.
  • Define legal interference very strictly; the safest version attacks only the juggling pattern, not the carrier.

Rules

  1. Each pair starts with one carrier and one piggyback juggler.
  2. On the signal, the carried player begins juggling three balls and the carrier moves through the arena.
  3. Pairs try to make other carried jugglers drop while protecting their own pattern.
  4. A pair is out if the juggler drops, the rider dismounts, the carrier becomes unsafe, or illegal contact occurs.
  5. The last pair with an active three-ball pattern wins.

Variations

  • Use no-contact rules and score only by endurance.
  • Let carriers switch after each round.
  • Use one-ball juggling for mixed-level groups.

Safety Notes

This should be treated as an advanced convention game. Avoid it with tired groups, hard floors, or mismatched carrying pairs.
