3 Club Distance Juggling

Short Description

A distance challenge where jugglers or pairs try to keep club juggling/passing alive over increasing distance.

3-club-distance-juggling

Group Size: 2 to 40 players
Difficulty: mittel
Material: Juggling clubs, distance markers
Duration: approx. 5-15 minutes

Game Description

Players test how much distance they can create while keeping club throws controlled. The UCircus title suggests a three-club variant; the closest documented convention game is long-distance club passing.

Setup

  • Mark a starting line and distance markers.
  • Decide whether the game is played solo or in pairs.
  • Give players a short practice round to agree on throw height and movement.

Rules

  1. Players or pairs begin at the starting distance.
  2. In the pair version, partners pass clubs and step farther apart while keeping the pattern alive.
  3. In the solo version, a player makes a long throw, moves to the catch, and resumes juggling.
  4. A drop or failed catch ends the attempt and fixes the final distance.
  5. The greatest clean distance wins.

Variations

  • Use balls or rings for mixed-skill groups.
  • Score by maximum distance after three attempts.
  • Run a cooperative version where the group tries to set a shared distance record.

Safety Notes

Long club throws can travel unpredictably. Keep the throwing lane clear.
