Eagle - Rabbit - Cabbage
Brief Description
A running game with an eagle, a hare, and cabbages, where roles are constantly switched by tapping.
Group Size: 8+ players
Difficulty: Medium
Materials: None
Game Duration: 5-15 min
Game Description:¶
First, designate one child as the hare and another as the eagle. All other children are cabbages and sit on the floor. The basic principle is that the eagle tries to catch the hare. If the eagle succeeds, the two switch roles. The former hare becomes the eagle and must catch the former eagle, who is now the hare.
However, the hare can hide behind any cabbage at any time and tap it. This cabbage then becomes the new eagle, the former eagle becomes the hare and must flee or find a new cabbage to tap. The hare who tapped the cabbage becomes a cabbage and takes the place of the cabbage that was tapped.
As the game progresses, multiple eagle-hare pairs can be designated, but be careful: each eagle may only catch their assigned hare.
