Alaska Baseball
Brief Description
A running-intensive team game where throwing, collecting, and quick group coordination determine the number of rounds completed.
Group Size: 30 to 100 participants
Difficulty: Simple
Materials: None
Game Duration: Approx. 5 minutes
Game Description:¶
The group is divided into two teams of as equal strength as possible. One team receives a toilet brush or another throwable object and designates the first thrower. The other team can spread out across the playing field or devise a different tactic. The thrower then tosses the toilet brush to any spot within the playing field. Afterward, they must run around all their teammates. How the teammates arrange themselves is entirely up to them; the main thing is that the thrower completes as many laps as possible. The other team must quickly retrieve the toilet brush and then line up one behind the other, passing the brush through everyone's legs once. When the last player holds the toilet brush, they loudly call out "Alaska Baseball." This is the signal for the other team to stop. The number of laps the thrower completed before the signal is recorded. Now it's the other team's turn to throw, and the last person in line who called "Alaska Baseball" becomes the thrower. The team that threw first must now pass the toilet brush through their legs. This way, the toilet brush is passed back and forth between the two teams.
The game ends either when a specific time has elapsed, a certain number of rounds have been played, or one team has reached a predetermined number of rounds.
