Throwing a Ball in a Star Pattern

Brief Description

A circle ball game that creates a fixed throwing pattern and can be practiced with multiple balls.

Group Size: 5-15 people
Difficulty: Easy
Materials: Balls
Game Duration: 5-10 minutes

Game Description:

A circle game for small groups using balls.

The group stands in a circle. Initially, only one ball is in play. Depending on the number of participants, you throw the ball to a partner X positions to your right.

This person then throws to someone X positions to their right, and so on.

It's important that everyone receives the ball once before it returns to the first person.

Each person therefore has exactly one person from whom they receive the ball, and one person to whom they throw the ball.

The pattern is run through a few times with one ball, then the number of balls in play can be gradually increased.

This game trains coordination and teamwork, and it's also good preparation for throwing juggling and partner work.
