Speed
Quick Description
A Beigoma Speed variant where players complete a set number of quick four-player rounds on score cards.
Group Size: 4-40 people
Difficulty: Easy
Materials: Beigoma, strings, playing surfaces, score cards
Duration: 10-45 minutes
Game Description:¶
This note retains the older Speed Card variant as its own game note. It is closely related to Beigoma Speed: both formats use quick four-player rounds, standard Beigoma, and score cards.
To begin, each player receives a card and writes their name on it. The game leader determines how many rounds will count towards the game. A short session might involve 10 rounds; a longer session could last up to 30 rounds.
Four players gather at a playing surface and play exactly one round. The result is recorded on the players' cards. After this round, players move to a different surface or form a new group. The game ends for each player once their card contains the agreed-upon number of scored rounds.
When the cards are full, the game leader tallies the scores and announces the highest score.
Rules:¶
- Four players compete simultaneously.
- Standard, unmodified Beigoma are used.
- Each group plays one round before switching groups.
- Repeated play on the same surface should be avoided if other surfaces are available.
Scoring:¶
- Win: 3 points
- Draw: 1 point
- Loss: 0 points
The point distribution can be altered by local rules.
Notes:¶
This page overlaps with Beigoma Speed. It should be reviewed later to decide if both notes are needed, but it currently remains a valid game note for translation and metadata consistency.
