Bille Bille Bob

Short Description

A fast-paced reaction game where commands are answered in a circle using words, gestures, and group formations.

Group Size: 6+ participants
Difficulty: Medium
Materials: None
Duration: Approx. 8 minutes

Game Description:

The group forms a circle with one person in the center. The person in the center wants to get out, and they can do so in the following way: They point at someone and say, "Bille Bille Bob." The person being pointed at must try to say "Bob" before the person in the center finishes saying "Bob" from "Bille Bille Bob." If the targeted person succeeds, the person in the center must find someone new. If they fail, they must join the circle and also try to get out of the center using "Bille Bille Bob." Below are some commands that can be introduced during the game and called out by the person in the center. For commands involving multiple people, you must go to the center if you make a mistake with the movement or sounds, or if you forget your part entirely or perform it incorrectly.

  1. Bob:
The chosen person must remain silent and still for three seconds.

  2. Washing Machine:
The person's left and right neighbors form a circle with their arms, like a washing machine drum, and the addressed person turns their head inside it.

  3. Broken Washing Machine:
Essentially the same as the washing machine, but the person in the center remains still while the heads and the washing machine drum of the outer players turn.

  4. Toaster:
The addressed person stands stiff as a board, like a piece of toast. Their left and right neighbors form a box around them. Then, the "toast" jumps up and loudly calls out "bing."

  5. Broken Toaster:
Everything is the same as the toaster, but the entire toaster (all three players) jumps up and calls out "bing." The "toast" itself does not jump.

  6. Streetlight:
The chosen player raises their arms and stretches tall like a streetlight. The players to their left and right lift a leg, mimicking a dog peeing on a streetlight.

  7. Vomiting Kangaroo:
The person in the center forms a bucket shape in front of them with their arms, and the two neighbors pretend to vomit into it.

  8. James Bond:
The chosen person is James and holds a finger gun. The two neighbors on each side wave their hands in the air towards James and call out, "ohhhh James."

  9. Blender:
The person in the center holds their hands over the heads of their neighbors. The neighbors then spin on their own axis under each hand.

  10. Be creative and invent a new command with your group!

Game Version as a Tag Game:

When the tagger tags someone, they always give one of the commands that involves multiple players. The tagged player must now perform the movement that the center person of the command would have to do. They can only be freed if other players correctly complete the command.

Controversies

Various figures, such as James Bond, Mother with Child, etc., are viewed controversially, mostly regarding the role models they convey.
Personally, I believe that instead of banning these figures, an alternative form like "Father with Child" or "Superwomen" would be more appropriate.
