Squaring the Circle
Brief Description
A cooperative task where the group must form a square using a rope they are holding, all while their eyes are closed.
Group Size: 8-20 people
Difficulty: Medium
Materials: Rope, optional blindfolds
Game Duration: 5-60 minutes
Game Description:¶
A cooperative game for small to medium-sized groups.
Props: One or more ropes tied together to form a large circle.
To start the game, everyone stands in a circle, ensuring there's enough space between neighbors.
The rope should be long enough to go around this circle once.
If participants find it difficult to keep their eyes closed for an extended period, blindfolds can be used.
Each participant is then given the rope, holding it so that the rope runs along the inside of the circle.
The task is to form a square, keeping the rope taut.
All participants must continuously hold the rope with at least one hand, but they can change positions at any time.
When the group decides they are finished, everyone can remove their blindfolds or open their eyes to see the result.
It is recommended to debrief the process together afterward.
