Game Description:¶
At the start, all players are amoebas. They crawl on the floor, repeatedly calling out "Amoeba, amoeba, amoeba..." Each player's goal is to climb the evolutionary ladder. This is achieved by playing rock-paper-scissors against another amoeba. If you win, you become an egg. As an egg, you hop in a crouch, forming a small roof over your head with your hands, moving from point A to point B and calling out "Egg, egg, egg..." The player who lost the rock-paper-scissors match remains an amoeba, as there is no lower stage in this evolution. When two eggs meet, they play rock-paper-scissors again. The loser reverts to being an amoeba, thus descending one evolutionary stage. The winner becomes a chicken. They place their hands on their armpits, flap their little wings, and make chicken noises. When two chickens meet, they play rock-paper-scissors again. The loser descends one stage, becoming an egg. The winning chicken becomes an eagle, spreading its large wings and loudly calling "Ahr, ahr, ahr." After an eagle duel, the loser becomes a chicken again, and the winner becomes a monkey. The monkey pounds its chest and calls out "ugah, ugah." A monkey that wins a round of rock-paper-scissors against another monkey becomes a human and can observe the evolutionary commotion from the sidelines. The monkey that lost logically reverts to being an eagle.
Alternatively, the dinosaur and the Italian can be included. The dinosaur holds its hands in front of its chest like small dino arms, saying "rarw." An Italian brings their index finger and thumb together, holds that hand up, and repeatedly says "Lorenzo." When several players have become humans, the game can end.
