I'm Lucky
Brief Description
A tag game with teams of two, where a rock-paper-scissors moment decides who continues to tag.
Group Size: 6-28 people
Difficulty: Easy
Materials: None
Game Duration: 5-10 minutes
Game Description:¶
Children form pairs by holding hands. These pairs are the "taggers" (there can be multiple tagger teams playing simultaneously).
When a tagger team tags another person, the three individuals involved play a mini-game:
All three stand together in a circle and say "Ich habe Glück" (I have luck). While saying this, they move their closed fists up and down, similar to the "rock-paper-scissors" game.
On the third count, each of the three players simultaneously chooses "rock," "paper," or "scissors" and shows their choice with both hands (meaning both hands as a fist for rock, both hands flat for paper, or both hands with spread fingers for scissors).
- If two of the three players show the same thing (e.g., rock twice), these two form the new tagger team. The third person is now free and runs away from the taggers again.
- If all three players show different things, or if all three show the same thing, there's another round of "Ich habe Glück" until a new tagger group is formed.
As the game leader, you can effectively control how many tagger teams are in play by adding or removing teams. It's recommended to start with a few tagger teams and gradually add more.
The game doesn't have a definitive end, as the number of tagger teams remains constant.
