Card Finder

Brief Description

A relay race game using playing cards, where teams find and collect their assigned card suit as quickly as possible.

Group Size: 4 to 20 players
Difficulty: Simple
Materials: At least one deck of playing cards
Game Duration: 10 to 15 minutes

Game Description:

All players are divided into four equal groups. Each group lines up behind a starting line and is assigned a suit of cards: spades, diamonds, hearts, or clubs. Each group should also have a group leader. Opposite the starting point, in the center, there is a box, stool, or mat. On this object are several playing cards, an equal number of each suit. The more cards there are, the longer the game will last.

After the game begins, the first player from each group runs out. They can pick up a card if it matches their group's assigned suit. If the card is of one of the other three suits, they must place it back down and return without the card. Upon reaching their group, they high-five the next player in line and go to the back of the line. The next player repeats the process.

When a card is collected, it is given to the group leader. The facilitator should know how many cards of each suit are supposed to be out, because once that number is reached, the facilitator knows that the corresponding team has won.

The game ends when each team has given all of its collected cards to their group leader.
