Game Description:

Kataflasch is a rhythm circle game. All players stand in a circle and place their hands on the shoulders of the person in front of them. Then, it all starts simultaneously. Everyone says "Kataflasch" together, and on "flasch," everyone steps forward with their left foot. Again, everyone says "Kataflasch" together, but this time stepping forward with their right foot. Next comes "Kataflaschflasch-flasch," accompanied by the step sequence left-right-left. Then, everyone says "Anageta-tung-tungi-tungi" together, moving their hips with each "tungi." First to the left, then to the right, and then to the left again. This is followed by saying, "Anageta-flauti-flauti-flauti," and with each "flauti," moving the hips forward, then back, and then forward again. Finally, the whole sequence starts over from the beginning with "Kataflasch" and a step forward with the left foot. After a few rounds, each person no longer grabs the shoulders of the person directly in front, but rather the person two spots ahead, i.e., the next person. To do this, everyone must slide slightly into the circle, as the circle becomes tighter and therefore smaller. After a few more rounds, you can again move your hands one person further forward and grasp their shoulders. After playing one or two more rounds, you can try the following: Everyone simultaneously sits down on the thighs of the person behind them, without letting go of the shoulders of the person two spots ahead. If everything goes well, everyone can sit relatively comfortably this way!
