Pillow Race
Brief Description
A fast-paced team game played in a circle, where two cushions are passed within teams and aim to catch up to each other.
Group Size: From 10 participants, preferably an even number
Difficulty: Medium
Materials: None
Game Duration: Approx. 3 minutes
Game Description:¶
To prepare for the game, all participants are divided into two equal groups. The teams stand or sit alternately in a circle. Two players sitting opposite each other in each team are given a cushion. The game leader dictates a common direction in which the cushions will move. Each cushion is only passed within its own team. Accordingly, the cushion must always be passed to the next person in the team via the direct neighbor. The goal of the game is to catch up to the opposing team's cushion. However, one team may not hinder the other, and the cushions may only be passed, not thrown.
Variations:¶
The game leader can introduce the signal "Change direction." When this signal is given, the cushion must change its direction of travel. Additionally, the command "Spin" can be introduced, where the player currently holding the cushion must pass it once around their own body.
Instead of cushions, other easily passable objects can be used.
