Command
Brief Description
A reaction game involving changing places, where participants quickly find new spots based on matching commands.
Group Size: 6 to 25 participants
Difficulty: Easy
Materials: Mats or other seating markers
Game Duration: 4 to 7 minutes
Game Description:¶
All players, except one, sit on a mat or another clearly marked spot. The spots are arranged in a circle, and in the center is the player who doesn't have a spot. This player then gives a specific command, for example: "Command: anyone who has been to the Baltic Sea" or "Command: anyone wearing green socks," or whatever comes to mind. All players who fit the command must jump up and quickly find a new spot. The player in the middle can try to grab one of the newly vacant spots. If they succeed, the person left without a spot must give a new command. Additionally, there are the following three commands that can be given at any time when in the middle:
- Command left: Everyone must move to the spot to their left.
- Command right: Everyone must move to the spot to their right.
- Command around: Everyone must walk around their own spot once and then sit back down.
These commands are solely intended to add more movement to the game, not for the person in the middle to find a spot for themselves.
