Carrot Rabbit Fox
Brief Description
A dynamic catching game for larger groups, where "rabbits" bring "carrots" to their team and "foxes" try to stop them.
Group Size: 15+ players
Difficulty: Quite easy
Materials: None
Playtime: 8 to 12 minutes
Game Description:¶
To start, one to three players are designated as "foxes." The remaining players divide into two groups: "rabbits" and "carrots." The "carrots" sit with their legs outstretched behind a line. The "rabbits" start behind an opposite line.
The goal of the game is for the "rabbits" to bring the "carrots" over to their team. This can be done in two ways:
- Pulling: "Rabbits" pull the "carrots" by their legs across the "rabbits'" line. As soon as a "carrot" is pulled across the line, they become a "rabbit."
- Wheelbarrow: "Rabbits" transport the "carrots" in a wheelbarrow position across the playing field to the opposite side. If a "carrot" reaches the other side this way, they become a "rabbit."
The "foxes" try to catch the "rabbits." If a "rabbit" is caught (even while pulling or transporting a "carrot"), they transform into a "carrot" and must sit behind the "carrots'" line.
The "rabbits" are safe behind their own line and behind the "carrots'" line. They cannot be caught by the "foxes" in these areas.
The game ends when:
- All players have become "carrots" (the "foxes" have won).
- All players have become "rabbits" (the "rabbits" have won).
