Ludo

Brief Description

A running duel along a track of hoops, where teams compete for progress using rock-paper-scissors.

Group Size: From approx. 4-6 players
Difficulty: Easy
Materials: Many rings / hula hoops
Game Duration: 20-30 minutes

Game Description:

The rings / hoops are lined up in a long (winding) line. It's helpful to connect them so they don't shift, but it can also be played without connecting them.

Two groups are formed, each lining up at one end of the ring line.

At the start, one player from each group jumps off, moving from one ring to the next.
As soon as the two players meet, they play "rock-paper-scissors." The loser goes around the outside (outside the rings) of the playing field and rejoins the back of their line.
The next player from that group can immediately jump off.
The winner also continues jumping.

The round is won when a player reaches the first ring of the opposing group.

It's good to play several rounds (3-5), although individual rounds can take quite a long time.
