Speed Dating

Brief Description

An introductory activity with an inner and outer circle, where short conversations are repeated in rotation and later recalled.

Group Size: 6-40 people
Difficulty: Easy
Materials: Slips of paper, pens
Playtime: 10-20 minutes

Game Description:

  1. Form two circles of equal size.
  2. One circle is the "outer circle," and the other is the "inner circle."
  3. Participants face their partners across the circles (everyone in the inner circle faces someone in the outer circle).
  4. The outer circle faces inward, and the inner circle faces outward.

Now, proceed as follows:
* Each person in the inner circle states their name to their partner in the outer circle and shares one piece of information about themselves.
* Then, the inner circle moves one person clockwise.

Once everyone in the inner circle has rotated completely:
* The outer and inner circles switch positions.

Afterward, provide slips of paper with participants' names and pens. Everyone writes down everything they can still remember about the other participants on their respective slips.
