Ultimate Ninja
Brief Description
A reaction game played in a circle where ninjas use quick movements to slap hands and dodge.
Group Size: 5 or more players
Difficulty: somewhat challenging
Materials: none
Playtime: approx. 10 minutes
Game Description:¶
All players form a circle and place one hand in the center. Everyone then shouts "Ultimate Ninja" together and takes a step backward. The goal of the game is to use ninja-like movements to slap the hands of other ninjas. One player starts and tries to slap another ninja's hand with a quick ninja move. The targeted ninja can dodge with a swift ninja movement. After this, both players immediately freeze again. Then, the player to the right of the first player takes their turn and performs their quick ninja move. The game proceeds around the circle, but be aware: the order remains the same as it was in the initial circle, regardless of how or where the ninjas move during the game. If a hand is slapped, it is placed behind the player's back and is out of play. If a second hand is slapped, that ninja is incapacitated and completely out of the game. The game becomes particularly exciting when played at a fast pace, because as soon as one ninja has completed their attack move, the next ninja in line can attack, and then the next, and so on. The game ends when only one ninja remains.
