Hula Hoop Ball Race¶
A good warm-up exercise that incorporates cooperation and group coordination.
Preparation¶
Arrange hula hoops in two rows. Divide the group into two teams. Each team sits along its respective row.
Place a set number of balls, beanbags, or other small equipment in the first hoop.
The Task¶
The group's task is to transport the items to the last hula hoop.
Rules:
- Everyone in the group must touch every item.
- Each item must "rest" in every hoop.
- Participants remain in one spot for the entire duration of the game.
Variations¶
You can change positions and methods for passing the balls:
- Seated
- Squatting
- In a bench position
- In a spider position
- In a plank position
- Backwards
