Zip Zap
Brief Description
A circle game with impulses, where Zip, Zap, Peng, and Boing are passed rhythmically and attentively.
Group Size: 5+ people
Difficulty: Easy
Materials: None
Game Duration: 5-10 minutes
Game Description:¶
This game can be played with any group size.
Players stand in a circle.
There are 4 different impulses: "Zip" (to the right), "Zap" (to the left), "Peng" (to any person in the circle), and "Boing" (pushing the impulse back).
Example flow:
The facilitator starts by clapping and sending a "Zip" to the person on their right. That person passes it on with "Zip." The third person points to someone else in the circle and says "Peng." The person who was "shot" raises their arms, bends their stomach forward, says "Boing," and pushes the impulse back.
Now, the third person sends the impulse to the left and says "Zap"...
The game can be played for any length of time, for example, until the impulse returns to the facilitator.
