Handstand Endurance

Short Description

A last-person-standing balance challenge where participants hold a handstand as long as possible.

handstand-endurance

Group Size: 2 to 40 players
Difficulty: schwer
Material: Soft floor, mats or grass
Duration: approx. 3-10 minutes

Game Description

All participants enter a handstand on the start signal and try to hold the agreed handstand form longer than everyone else. A player is out when their feet touch the ground, they leave the agreed area, or they break the agreed support rule.

The last person still in a valid handstand wins.

Setup

  • Choose the allowed form: free handstand, wall-supported, partner-spotted or walking handstand.
  • Use a safe surface and leave enough room between participants.
  • Decide whether small hand-walk corrections are allowed.

Variations

  • Run separate beginner and advanced rounds.
  • Use partner-supported handstands for inclusive groups.
  • Add a maximum time and declare all remaining players joint winners.

Safety Notes

Warm up wrists and shoulders first. Do not use elimination pressure with participants who cannot exit a handstand safely.
