Sheep Tearing
Short Description
A running and tagging game where wolves pull or carry sheep across their goal line, thereby transforming them.
Group Size: 10+ players
Difficulty: Quite easy
Materials: None
Game Duration: 3 to 5 minutes
Game Description:¶
A small pack of wolves is designated, appropriate to the group size. The wolves start on one side of the playing field, and all other players, who are sheep, start on the opposite side. The wolves then make a dangerous wolf sound, and in response, the sheep make a loud "baa" – the round begins. The sheep try to reach the wolves' side; once they cross the line, they are safe. However, the wolves, who are only allowed to move forward and sideways, also try to reach the opposite side and "capture" the sheep. In this game, "capture" means pulling or carrying the sheep to the wolves' goal side. If a sheep is pulled across the line the wolves must reach, it becomes a wolf itself. The game ends when all sheep have become wolves.
