Cascade Workshop - Cheating!
Cheating!¶
Source: Cascade 001
If you have phosphorescent balls that glow in the dark, you can give the audience the impression that you are performing a column pattern. Suddenly, one of the double balls (the one you're holding) unbelievably stops in mid-air, refusing to come down. (You're simply holding it up, but the spectator doesn't see that!) The rogue ball, having seemingly defied the laws of gravity, can now perform amazing acrobatic tricks before rejoining the pattern. For example:
The Yo-Yo¶
You hold the "cheat ball" a few centimeters above one of the bouncing balls. Move your hand up and down, keeping the distance between the held and the flying ball constant. It looks as if the balls are tied together with a string.
The Pendulum¶
This is also a yo-yo trick where the hands alternate holding a cheat ball. A single ball bounces up and down vertically in the center, while the cheat balls seemingly "pull" back and forth, and your arms make swinging pendulum motions. (You could also alternate swinging your legs or say "Tick-tock".)

Here are some even more rebellious tricks for a cheat ball:
The Scythe¶
The cheat ball shoots horizontally back and forth between the two thrown balls, first over the descending one, then under the ascending one. The hand holding the cheat ball "cuts" through the 2-ball juggling like a scythe.

A graceful (and easier) variation is the "infinite scythe." The cheat ball doesn't trace a straight, horizontal line, but an infinity symbol (or a sideways eight).

Orbit¶
A particularly rebellious cheat ball might start circling your head like an annoying fly. (Buzz, buzz!)

Since you're actually only juggling 2 balls and just holding the third, the number of pranks this third ball can play is limited only by your anatomy!
